Jackson is an emerging projection designer and digital media artist with backgrounds in theatre performance and live video production. Skilled in media design for theatre, video editing, motion graphic design, live video direction, and video hardware systems, he has designed content for the Minnesota State Fair, Freestyle Productions, departments at Hamline University, Eagan Community Theatre, and others. He's also programmed shows at Mixed Blood Theatre and History Theatre.
He tells rich stories through video and projection, developing his design work similarly to the way an actor develops their character; every design is motivated—everything has a clear purpose. Jackson implements his designs using tools like QLab, WATCHOUT, After Effects, Trapcode, Photoshop, Illustrator, Final Cut Pro, Vectorworks, Quartz Composer, and Syphon. He also knows his way around a broadcast control room.
When he's not working on a show, Jackson coaches Dramatic Interpretation, Duo Interpretation, and Prose Interpretation for the Eagan High School speech team.
