Jackson is an emerging projection designer and digital media artist with backgrounds in theatre performance and live video production. Skilled in multimedia design for the theatre, video editing, motion graphic design, live video direction, and video hardware setup, he has designed content for the Minnesota State Fair, Freestyle Productions, Hamline University Communications, Eagan Summer Community Theatre, TCU Student Media, and others.
Jackson tells rich stories through video and projection. He develops his design work similarly to the way an actor develops their character; every design is motivated—everything has a clear purpose. Jackson implements his designs using tools like After Effects, Trapcode, Photoshop, Illustrator, Final Cut Pro, Vectorworks, QLab, Quartz Composer, Syphon, and ETC Eos. He also knows his way around a broadcast control room. He mostly uses Macs, but works comfortably in Windows.
When he's not working on a show, Jackson coaches Dramatic Interpretation, Duo Interpretation, and Prose Interpretation for the Eagan High School speech team.
